DO YOU REQUIRE DEPOSITS?

Yes! I always require a $113 e-transfer or paypal deposit on the day of the initial booking to secure your appointment. This deposit is non-refundable but goes towards the final cost of the tattoo.

DO YOU CHARGE HOURLY OR PER PIECE?

I charge a minimum of $200 for all tattoos and generally price per piece. I offer a sliding scale option upon request. Please ask if this is something you think you would like to opt for. You can choose what you’re comfortable paying within that range. I will never ask you to justify or question your choice of payment!

Large-scale minimal pieces (full arm, leg, back) generally range from $500-$1,600. Price quotes are determined based on the expected duration of the piece and placement.

I WANT A LARGE-SCALE PIECE FROM YOU BUT I'M AFRAID I CAN'T AFFORD IT

Please let me know what your budget is and I can give you some realistic options of the size we could do! If you’re set on something out of budget, I am happy to arrange a payment plan that works best for you. Here is an example of a payment plan that I’ve offered in the past:

  • Initial booking date: $100 deposit

  • Date of appointment: $200 payment

  • Remainder of tattoo cost paid in $200 biweekly instalments.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WOULD I NEED FOR A LARGE SCALE PROJECT?

This varies from person to person! Hand-poking is a manual way of applying ink into the skin, so much of the time is dependant on the individual and the placement. Here’s an average based on the project:

  • Smaller projects (6” and under): 1 session

  • Simple line work back pieces: 1-2 sessions

  • Full arm line work: 1-2 sessions

  • Full leg, shoulder-to-butt line work pieces: 2-4 sessions

  • Full back Imagery-based: 2-6 sessions

HOW SHOULD I CONTACT YOU?

Please wait for my bookings to open to contact me. I will share a link to a booking form in my bio on Instagram which you may fill out to request an appointment. Please do not DM me, I don’t check them often and I may not get back to you — I want to make sure there is clear communication between us! If we are in communication regarding an appointment, please be patient for my response. I generally tend to my emails 1-2 times/week.

WILL YOU SHOW ME THE DRAWING BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT?

I do all custom drawing on the day of or day before the appointment, so I do not send them prior to our meeting! I always provide options and room to make changes within reason. Most of my current work is freehand drawn onto the skin which allows for lots of creative freedom from the initial design.

WHAT IS FLASH? HOW DO I KNOW WHAT FLASH IS AVAILABLE?

All of the illustrations I’ve posted to my Instagram highlight “FLASH” are available to be tattooed. I have some older pieces in my flash books at the studio, but the ones I am most eager to tattoo are in my highlights!

WILL YOU REPEAT A TATTOO YOU’VE ALREADY DONE OR MAKE ONE FOR ME THAT IS SIMILAR?

I won’t repeat any tattoo twice, but sometimes I will make a similar design for you. This depends on the designs and how many times I’ve recreated them. I want to produce new concepts so that everyone can have a unique piece! If something was only done once I will probably make a new version for you.

I HEAR HAND-POKED TATTOOS DON’T HEAL AS WELL AS MACHINE TATTOOS, IS THAT TRUE?

This is false. The way your tattoo heals is dependant on the specific artist and their style, application and healing. There is nothing inherent about hand-poked tattoos that makes them less resilient than machine tattoos. It is all about the intention the artist has for the piece and the technique used to apply the ink into the skin. That being said, every artist tries their best to give their clients a tattoo that will heal the way it was applied, but we’re not perfect and sometimes we make mistakes. We will always give you our 100% effort though.

DO YOU TATTOO OTHER ARTISTS WORK (GIVEN THEIR PERMISSION)? CAN I GET ANOTHER ARTIST TO TATTOO YOUR WORK?

I have tattooed art brought in with tattoo tickets in the past. I generally accept these if the design works with my style and process. My work is personal and it’s important to me to be able to tattoo it. If you live in a different country I travel a lot and am always open to suggestions on where to go! Email me :)

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN YOUR STUDIO?

It’s best to come alone to your appointment but if you would prefer to be accompanied by a friend let me know!

WHAT AREAS OF THE BODY DO YOU NOT TATTOO AND WHY NOT?

I don’t tattoo the ribs or inner biceps. These spots are tricky to hand poke: the skin is softer, stretchier and chenerally easier to blow out. I would prefer to stay away from these areas to avoid compromising the quality of the tattoo.

WHEN DO YOUR BOOKINGS OPEN? CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE?

I’m currently booking appointments in one-to-two month intervals, I find that it’s working well for me right now, so I will not be able to accommodate your advanced booking request outside of my current booking period! I will always make posts on my instagram announcing upcoming booking dates. If my bio reads “books closed” please do not contact me regarding booking.

DO YOU TATTOO COLOUR?

Yes! I have a few colours I like to work with but there are some drawings that I prefer to do in black. If you're interested please don't hesitate to ask!

DO YOU COVER SCARS OR OTHER TATTOOS?

I will cover scars, but I don’t feel my technique is the best option for covering most tattoos. I have done simple cover ups for small tattoos, so feel free to ask but I encourage you to seek out an artist who is experienced in cover-ups for optimal results.

WHAT'S YOUR AFTERCARE PROCESS?

A medical-grade, transparent, adhesive bandage will be applied to your new tattoo. Do not remove the bandage for 24 to 48 hours (like to leave mine on for 3-4 days). It is latex-free, waterproof, breathable, and hypoallergenic. This will keep your tattoo out of contact with external environments, help reduce swelling and aid the healing process. Any swelling will usually subside in 24 to 48 hours. Bruising may occur in some cases (rare). To remove the bandage, soak in hot water (during a shower) and pull the edges down. Wash tattoo with unscented soap and pat to dry with a clean towel. Skin will become dry, flakey, and sometimes form crusts for up to 28 days after being tattooed.

Please following these instructions for at least 7 days:

  • You may choose to keep your tattoo dry after removing the dressing or keep the treated area moist by applying a thin layer of ointment several times a day with a sterile cotton swab morning, evening and at intervals during the day.

    • I generally suggested folks with dry skin to moisturize and oily skin to dry-heal!

  • Do not expose the treated area to sun or a tanning booth.

  • Do not apply soap body scrubs or any other chemicals to the pigmented area.

  • Do not have hot steamy showers or baths, hot tubs, swimming and avoid excessive sweating during the healing process. These things can hinder the healing and colour bonding process.

  • Do not expose the pigmented, treated area to high pressure of water in a shower.

  • If a crust appears on the pigmented treated area, do not pick or peel off the crust. Picking scabs can remove parts of the healing tattoo. The dry, crusty tattoo may start to itch—don’t itch it! If itching is unbearable, apply soothing ointment or slap the skin instead!
